This is the first ever seasoning made for Nigerian Fried Rice. – It is gluten-free, no additives and no artificial colourings.
You can now make fried and get it right all the time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of uncooked easy cook or basmati rice
  • 1 Good quality Stock cube ( chicken or vegetable – your choice)
  • 1 medium onions – sliced thinly
  • 1 cup of mix frozen vegetables
  • 1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped scotch bonnet or chilli of choice
  • 2 teaspoons of Africanpot Nigerian Fried Rice Seasoning
  • 5 Tablespoons of water
  • King Prawns, meat, chicken or any meat of choice (Optional)

Recipe suggestion

Instructions
– Boil 1 cup of easy cook rice (or any rice you like) in your normal way but crumble 1 stock cube into it while boiling. Do not let the rice be overcooked or mushy – set aside
– Put a slightly deep frying pan or saucepan on medium heat.
– Add 2TBSP of butter and 1TBSP vegetable oil. When slightly heated up add the sliced onions. Let brown for about 2-3mins.
– Add the 2 teaspoons of Africanpot Nigerian Fried Rice Seasoning. Mix and let simmer for about 1 minute.
– Add 1 cup of mixed vegetables (NB-DO not add any mushy veg like broccoli. Use . carrots. Peas green beans, Sweet corn) Mix together.
– Add 5 TBSP of water and let simmer for 4 minutes.
– Add your choice of chopped cooked Meat (optional) and chili.
– Bring to boil for about 3 to 4 minutes.
– Add small amount of water if necessary, then add the cooked rice.
– Mix well Let simmer for about 4 to 5 minutes stirring at intervals.
– Taste and add salt and pepper as required.
– Turn off heat.
– Cover and let stand for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Ready to serve
